Kim strongly believes in giving back and is actively involved in charitable work.  She is a past President of the New Stride Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding adoptive homes for non-competitive and injured Thoroughbred racehorses.  She remains actively involved with the organization and sits on the Board of Directors.

Kim is on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Vancouver and she regularly participates in sports competition for a number of other charities including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
